Yes, all silicone sealants from OTTO have excellent UV and weather resistance.
Anhydrous bonding agents and sealants based on silicone, hybrid and polyurethane can be temporarily transported and stored at below-zero temperatures. Permanent storage at temperatures below 0 °C is not recommended, especially because processing of the "cold" bonding agents and sealants results in delayed hardening and most products have a firmer processing consistency at cold temperatures when they are removed from cold storage and then processed immediately. "Cold" products should be brought to room temperature before processing. After complete hardening, the processed products are permanently resistant even in the long term below 0 °C.
When working in cold temperatures, it is essential to ensure that no ice, condensation or other moisture is present on the flanks of the bonding agent, as this acts as a separating film and can impair or prevent adhesion of the bonding agent.
Water-based dispersion sealants and bonding agents, as well as water-based OTTOFLEX products, are not frost-resistant in their unprocessed state and must not be stored or at temperatures below + 5 °C while they are hardening. For a short time, some dispersion acrylates are resistant during transport to temperatures down to - 10 °C for a maximum of 48 hours. The information provided in the relevant current technical sheet must be observed for this. Prolonged storage or storage/transport at lower temperatures leads to irreversible frost damage of acrylate sealants and bonding agents (coagulation).
After complete hardening, dispersion acrylates are permanently resistant even below + 5 °C.
