Which criteria have a negative impact during the open time?
Heat, draughts, absorbent surfaces, unclean mixing vessels and solar radiation.
Why should jointing work not be carried out at temperatures below + 5 °C?
At low temperatures there is the risk that condensation will precipitate on the substrates as a thin, invisible layer of ice or water. This prevents an optimal adhesion of the sealant on the substrate.
What needs to be observed when processing OTTOSEAL® S 70 in matt colours?
Observe the following when smoothing matt colours OTTOSEAL® S 70: the joint should only be stripped once with a smoothing tool that has been dipped in OTTO Marble Silicone Smoothing Agent (undiluted). The more often the surface is reworked with smoothing agent, the more the matt effect is lost and the joint becomes increasingly shiny.
