OTTO looks back on a company history lasting more than 125 years: In 1881 Hermann Otto founded a putty-manufacturing company in Berlin. Since the early 1960s we have been developing and producing silicone sealants. Adhesives based on silicone, polyurethane, silane-terminated polymers (hybrid) and acrylates round off the product range.

As a medium-sized company we are one of the leading European manufacturers of high quality sealants and adhesives for professional users. Our approximately 300 employees enjoy working at OTTO because they appreciate it as a socially committed and reliable company. About 250 employees work at the Fridolfing location in Upper Bavaria, Germany, and 50 sales representatives are out and about supporting our customers in Germany, Austria, England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Independent partner companies sell our products in many other countries in Europe and overseas.
Our sophisticated logistics guarantee smooth order handling and short delivery times.
We develop our products in the company’s own laboratories and market them under the brand names OTTOSEAL® for sealants, OTTOCOLL® for adhesives and Novasil® for industrial products. Our broad range of special products enables us to find solutions for particular applications. Furthermore, we are in a constant dialogue with our customers regarding new product developments. Our products meet technical and other applicable standards, and we are absolutely committed to the greatest environmental compatibilty possible.
