7. Communication

1. Marketing and sales
We are aware that the most valuable asset are our customers.
That is the reason why all our activities are focused on customer service. Besides the quality of the products, customer service is our most important success factor. Consulting and support from our qualified sales representatives, constant availability of our standard products and a prompt delivery service are just a few of the pillars on which our notion of comprehensive service rests. We consider ourselves a reliable supplier of quality products that provides services for all aspects of sealants and adhesives to our customers.

2. Products and innovations
We observe the demands of the market by comprehending the needs of our customers by developing innovative products and processes and by consistently benefiting from scientific progress. We focus on our competencies in “sealing” and “bonding” and follow this essential policy: The advantage must be obvious to the customer.

3. Financing
Sound business and financial policies put the company in a position to finance itself out of a combination of its own funds and outside funds in order to maintain its independence as a medium-sized company. This is the only way of guaranteeing that we can act freely, fast and in a flexible manner in the market at all times and so fulfil our customers’ wishes the best way possible. However, we do not want to become economically dependent on individual products, product groups, customers or groups of customers. In all our business decisions the order of priority is profit growth before turnover growth. Only when achieving an adequate profitability we are able to make the necessary ongoing investments to secure our competitive position and our jobs.

4. Employees
Qualified, motivated employees are an essential prerequisite for the long-term success of OTTO-CHEMIE. Therefore, it is one of our most important goals to have highly qualified staff and to support them in their continued professional and personal development. In doing so we strive to maintain a cooperative management style and thus to create an open, trustful and performance-oriented climate.

5. Quality management
We define quality as an absolute measure for aligning the product characteristics with the requirements of the professional user, and for consistently meeting these requirements. The market success of our products and services is therefore closely tied to their quality and is directly linked to our aspiration to completely meet our customers’ demands. All employees are committed to avoid errors and eliminate possible error sources. Therefore, quality is an ongoing process that affects the entire company culture and involves every employee; it forms goals and strategies and ensures customer satisfaction.

6. Environmental and safety management
We regard success not just as a matter of quantity but as a quality with a view to the environment. We strive to keep the impact on the environment as small as possible and cooperate on solving regional and global environmental problems to the best of our ability. We research and develop products which are appropriate for the respective applications, business processes and concepts for individual needs in such a manner that they meet the customers’ requirements in terms of quality, economy and environmental compatibility. In so doing we are committed to continuously reduce our effects on the environment as far as technology permits. Delegates were appointed to monitor adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements and to integrate changes into our organisation.

7. Communication

Motivation and communication are inextricably connected to one another. That is why we keep our employees informed on a large scale about the ongoing processes as only those who are familiar with the overall goals and objectives can best gear their actions towards them. At the same time, as a company we have a strong sense of responsibility to the public. We do not want to be just another anonymous enterprise but to play an active and and cosmopolitan role in the community. We therefore keep our customers, our employees and the public readily and honestly informed about current issues in our company.
