COATINGTextiles and fabrics industry
Adhesives, sealants, garters? An exotic combination, you think? Only at first glance! The textiles industry and fabric industry use silicones by OTTO for the coating of conveyor belts, other belts and textiles, since the multitude of special features of the silicones are in demand when it comes to coating purposes in this field, too. Quality from the OTTO brand – that's what makes the difference.
From the garter through to the conveyor belt - silicone is the solution
For the narrow-belt coating of hold-up stockings, i.e. the garter, the flowable RTV-1 silicones used in this field impress with their special "non-slip" property and their excellent skin compatability.
The outstanding notch resistance and scratch resistance have proven themselves in the coating of conveyor belts. The physiological harmlessness of the silicones used for this purpose are valued for their use on conveyor belts in the food industry. Thanks to their water-resitant effect, the coated surfaces are easy to clean.
Coating of toothed belts and V-ribbed belts
Due to the temperature resistance of the silicones, toothed and V-ribbed belts with a silicone coating can be used at temperatures of up to 200°C. Silicones are suitable for practically all coated materials such as polyamide, polyester, cotton, viscose, acetate, acrylic, fibre glass.
Not least of all, OTTO offers reative PU hotmelt products for membrane coating purposes in the clothing and automobile industry.
The application is different from customer to customer, from process to process. This is why the coating materials are to be aligned precisely with the application and are to be manufactured in a narrow specifications area. Since no standard products are in demand as a solution for this field, OTTO is available to give help and advice for the development of customer-specific solutions - at all times.
