Which criteria have a negative impact during the open time?
Heat, draughts, absorbent surfaces, unclean mixing vessels and solar radiation.
Why should jointing work not be carried out at temperatures below + 5 °C?
At low temperatures there is the risk that condensation will precipitate on the substrates as a thin, invisible layer of ice or water. This prevents an optimal adhesion of the sealant on the substrate.
What needs to be observed when processing OTTOSEAL® S 70 in matt colours?
Matt colours must be stripped in a dry state in order to guarantee a matt surface. It is also possible to strip matt colours with a wooden spatula lightly moistened with an OTTO marble smoothing agent. To do this, dip the wooden spatula into a container of fresh OTTO marble smoothing agent, dry off briefly with a clean cloth and then use to remove the sealing compound.
